Board And Committees
BOARD
The SRA Board of Directors is comprised of nine volunteers elected by the community, and one unelected member appointed by the Resort Properties. Board members serve for a two-year term. The Board provides oversight of SRA management and operations, sets long term strategy, and addresses community issues and problems. Board meetings are held monthly and community members are welcome to attend.

Bylaws
Bylaws govern the community voting process and the function of the Board.
Community Rules
Community Rules are established by the Board and supplement the CC&Rs and Bylaws with additional guidelines.
Meeting Schedules
Board meetings are typically held on the third Wednesday of each month. Community members are welcome to attend in-person or by watching online.
Board Meeting Agendas and Minutes
Meeting Agendas and Information Packets are posted on the SRA website 48 hours in advance of each Board meeting. Meeting Minutes are posted after they are approved by the Board.

Code of Conduct
Board and Committee members are required to sign an agreement to maintain a high ethical standard of conduct while serving the community.
COMMITTEES
The SRA Board has established eight standing Committees to provide advice and assistance in serving the community. These Committees are staffed by Community volunteers appointed by the Board.
Architectural Standards Committee
The Architectural Standards Committee (ASC) works to enhance and preserve the natural beauty, harmonious design, quality of life and sense of community in Semiahmoo.
Communications Committee
The Communications Committee administers a variety of programs that keep the community accurately informed of Board activities, events, and other topics of general interest.
Elections Committee
The Elections Committee works with the Board to establish voting and election procedures, and provides independent oversight of all voting activities, including candidate solicitation, material preparation, and ballot counting.
Environmental Committee
The Environmental Committee works to protect and preserve the environmental health of the community by recommending new policies and educating community members on methods they can use to better protect their environment.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee assists the Board by providing oversight of SRA financial affairs in the areas of operational management and performance, annual budget development, financial planning, and the external audit process.
Governance Committee
The Governance Committee assists the Board in fulfilling its duty to provide clear, concise, and consistent governing documentation that ensures proper legal administration and effective community management.
Maintenance Committee
The Maintenance Committee assists the Board in fulfilling its obligation to provide oversight of the condition and maintenance of SRA property and other property where SRA has maintenance responsibilities.
Safety and Security Committee
The Safety and Security Committee assists the Board in its duty to ensure community safety by promoting awareness of safety risks and recommending neighborhood and community-wide programs to address safety issues.
Meeting Schedules
Each Committee establishes its own meeting schedule. Committees typically meet monthly but some meet more or less frequently. Meeting notices are announced in advance on the SRA website and community members are welcome to attend.
