There are documents that have been published to preserve our beautiful environment in Semiahmoo. The Guidelines for Maintenance of Undeveloped Lots is one of them. Another important document is the Tree Management Guidelines, they complement each other. In the Guidelines for Maintenance of Undeveloped Lots, it refers to the City of Blaine Shoreline Master Program. This extensive document has a lot of information on how to manage the lots that are next to the water’s edge in our community. Generally, it applies to areas within 200 feet of the “Ordinary High Water Mark” (OHWM).
