Dear Association Member: The Election Committee for the Semiahmoo Resort Association (SRA) is pleased to announce that in 2010 five (5) of the nine (9) Board of Director positions will be open for election by the membership. This year’s election will occur at the Annual Meeting on Saturday October 24, 2009. If you are interested in submitting your name for candidacy, please contact Debbie Smith, SRA executive director, to obtain an application packet. Debbie can be reached by calling (360) 371-7796, by email at debbie@semiahmooresortassociation.com, or by visiting the SRA office at 9550 Semiahmoo Parkway (located at the back of the building just before the water-tower). The term of office for each Board position is two (2) years, and Board meetings are held monthly. More detailed information regarding serving on the Board is included in the application packet. The Election Committee looks forward to receiving your completed application no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2009. Upon receipt of your application, the Election Committee will review your application to determine if you are qualified to stand for election and then notify you of the results. Your interest in serving the Semiahmoo community is deeply appreciated. Being a member of the SRA Board is a challenging and, at the same time, rewarding undertaking.
